I started with Womanspace just 6 months ago. I wanted to be able to help women in crisis. I learned so much through the training that Womanspace provides. I am so grateful to have received this fun, informative & thought provoking training and I still cannot believe it is free! I know I am a better person since starting with Womanspace. We help both women and men in a domestic crisis. The training they provided made me feel comfortable enough to also sign on as a Sexual Assault Team Member. I just knew I wanted to do more. The sisterhood among the Womanspace staff and volunteers is amazing. All with the common goal to help those in crisis. I know I sound like I am being paid for this reflection but the simple truth is, I love Womanspace and what we represent. I am so proud to be part of it and cannot imagine not being involved. posted by daninelsonsells on August 25, 2007 |
