The Princeton Center for Yoga & Health, a yoga and holistic health center, is an organization which invites participants to explore different paths to health, healing, and personal growth in a warm, comfortable, and inviting environment. . The Center offers a variety of yoga, meditation and holistic lifestyle classes and workshops.. In two spacious and light filled studios, PCYH offers instruction in yoga (all traditions welcome - Kripalu, Astanga/Power, Hot, Vinyasa Krama, Classical Hatha). Specialty classes include: Gentle Yoga, Yoga for Stress Reduction, Yoga for Kids, Mom/Baby and Pre-and Post-Natal Yoga, Yoga for Rejuvanation, Hot Yoga, Belly Dance, Danskinetics/JourneyDance. Also offered: meditation, Holistic Bodywork: including therapeutic massage, chiropractic care and Structural Yoga Therapy, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, and psychotherapy, stress management; music and dance programs; living holistically workshops, and educational material in order to facilitate participants’ well being. Monthly concerts, Drumming Circles, Kirtan chanting; workshops and teacher trainings. Approximately 40 classes per week --morning, lunchtime, evening, and weekends. Gift certificates available for all services and programs. Corporate wellness programs. Work exchange and volunteer opportunities. History:
The Princeton Center for Yoga & Health opened its doors on September 30, 1996, the first studio of it’s kind in our area, and has been an oasis of calm, healing, and fun since that time.
The Center's Mission:
Guided by the principles of yoga expressed by all traditions, our goal is to create a safe,warm, inviting environment in which to explore different paths to health,healing, and personal growth. PCYH also seeks to provide a forum for holistic professionals to share their work and be supported in right livelihood. Through all its endeavors, PCYH
strives to be a source and center of inspiration, information, products, and services to help meet the
needs of people living and working in the greater Princeton community and beyond.
Founder and director of the Princeton Center for Yoga & Health, Deborah Metzger, is a certified advanced Kripalu Yoga teacher and certified Dharmic Yoga Instructor, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance, a licensed social worker and holds an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to teaching throughout the area and at the Princeton Center for Yoga & Health, Deborah has led related workshops in corporate settings such as Johnson & Johnson, Merrill Lynch, L’Oreal, Summit Bank, Princeton University, and State agencies, as well as local community groups, and has assisted programs at the Kripalu Center in Lenox, MA. She is certified in Yoga for Cardiac & Cancer Care.
She founded and served as the first president of Womanspace, Inc., a program for victims of domestic violence and served as Mental Health Planner and Liaison to the Department of Health for the State of New Jersey Division of Mental Health services and Mental Health Administrator for the County of Mercer in New Jersey.

From Nassau Street, take 206 North. Continue on 206 approximately 4 miles to traffic light at the Route 518 intersection. Turn left onto 518 West. Follow approximately 1/2 mile to Montgomery Professional Center. Turn right onto Vreeland Drive.
From points north of Princeton:
Take Route 206 South to traffic light at the Route 518 intersection. Turn right onto 518 West. (you can also access Route 518 from Route 27). Follow approximately 1/2 mile to Montgomery Professional Center. Turn right onto Vreeland Drive.
From our previous location at Montgomery Commons: Turn left onto 206 North. Follow approximately 1/2 mile to traffic light at the Route 518 intersection. Turn left onto 518 West. Follow approximately 1/2 mile to Montgomery Professional Center. Turn right onto Vreeland Drive.
Once on Vreeland Drive, turn right into second parking area. Entrance to 50 Vreeland Drive, Suite 506 is last building on the far right. Welcome! |
