The Princeton Senior Resource Center empowers older adults in the diverse Princeton community to make informed choices and live healthy lives. PSRC offers affordable services, programs and opportunities that support, educate and engage older individuals, their families and caregivers.
Description:
PSRC services include information and referral to area resources, counseling and consultations, volunteer home visitors, and support groups to help people age in place in the community and navigate the transitions of the second half of life. PSRC offers an array of programs and classes to maintain fitness of mind and body, to educate and inform, and to provide social opportunities. There are also many opportunities to engage in volunteering.
History:
PSRC is a non-profit organization founded in 1974. It was one of the first senior centers to achieve accreditation in NJ, and was recognized by the Princeton Human Services Commission in 2006 for its work on behalf of the diverse community of seniors in this area.
