Men and women over age 60 to volunteer with children in local non profit day care centers or with children with disabilities in their local communities. Volunteers receive a tax free stipend and travel reimbursement plus paid vacation and sick leave benefits for their work.

Description:
Seniors volunteer with children who have developmental disabilities in their local communities or with children in Head Start and other local non profit day care center programs. Volunteers also earn a tax free stipend plus are reimbursed for travel. Seniors also receive paid vacation and sick leave benefits.

History:
Our program was created back in the 1960's by Congress to provide seniors the opportunity to contribute their time and knowledge in their local communities. In return the volunteer receives a tax free stipend and travel reimbursement for their participation in the program..
