The Volunteer Resource Center promotes various Days of Service and other large group volunteer connections throughout the year. In April, we celebrate volunteers and encourage volunteerism during Florida Volunteer Month. In late summer we promote the annual Heart of Florida United Way Day of Caring. In November, National Family Volunteer Day provides the perfect opportunity for families to volunteer together. In November and December we promote the holiday volunteer and donation needs of local not-for-profit organizations such as the need for food servers, gift wrappers, toys for children or gift baskets.
