The Heart of Florida United Way's
Volunteer Resource Center exists to promote volunteerism and connect volunteers with volunteer opportunities in Orlando and the surrounding Central Florida Area. Our online database of volunteer opportunities allows you to search for the perfect volunteer opportunity at your leisure.
Not only do we serve Heart of Florida United Way member agencies, but the
Volunteer Resource
Center also serves more than 120 local not-for-profit organization that have a need for volunteers. The
Volunteer Resource
Center is connected with not-for-profits that serve Orange, Osceola, and
Seminole
Counties in the Orlando and Central
Florida area. We serve these organizations by promoting their volunteer need to you - the community.
The
Volunteer Resource
Center promotes various Days of Service and other large group volunteer connections throughout the year. In April, we celebrate volunteers and encourage volunteerism during Florida Volunteer Month. In late summer we promote the annual Heart of Florida United Way Day of Caring. In November, National Family Volunteer Day provides the perfect opportunity for families to volunteer together. In November and December we promote the holiday volunteer and donation needs of local not-for-profit organizations such as the need for food servers, gift wrappers, toys for children or gift baskets.
