Our mission is "To provide a warm and loving atmosphere and environment with a caring and trained staff with a well-developed program designed to stimulate and enhance the growth and development of each child."
Description:
The Orlando Day Nursery was founded in 1921 and has served low-income and at-risk children in Orlando ever since. We operate on a sliding scale basis for parent/guardian fees to ensure that every family pays only what they can afford and not a penny more. All of our kids deserve the very best and that's where you come in! Volunteers are always needed to assist teachers in the separate classrooms for toddlers, 2's, 3's, 4's and 5's. From art and music projects to early literacy and dramatic play, We ensure that each child has a safe and empowering environment to learn and play in everyday. It's okay if you don't have a lot of experience with children - we welcome anyone with a willing and giving spirit to spend time with our precious little ones. The best time to volunteer is between the hours of 8:30 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday as we are closed on weekends.
