CASE is committed to building partnerships, providing resources, leadership and training that support quality after-school programs in Harris County.
Description: CASE is moving forward to accomplish two goals: Increase the number of after-school programs and the capacity of existing after-school programs Improve the quality of after-school programs in Houston/Harris County.
CASE employs three strategies to achieve these goals: Fundraising and Grantmaking Promoting Program Quality Improvement Cultivating Community Commitment
History: Harris County Department of Education Formed CASE in 1999, to mobilize the community to work together to ensure that every child who can benefit from an after-school program has access to one. CASE has been endorsed by all 26 Harris County School Superintendents and by the Joint City/County Commission on Children. After-school programs keep kids safe, help working families, and improve academic achievement.
