CASE is committed to building partnerships, providing resources, leadership and training that support quality after-school programs in Harris County.

Description:
CASE is moving forward to accomplish two goals:
Increase the number of after-school programs and the capacity of existing after-school programs
Improve the quality of after-school programs in Houston/Harris County.

CASE employs three strategies to achieve these goals:
Fundraising and Grantmaking
Promoting Program Quality Improvement
Cultivating Community Commitment

History:
Harris County Department of Education
Formed CASE in 1999, to mobilize the community to work together to ensure that every child who can benefit from an after-school program has access to one. CASE has been endorsed by all 26 Harris County School Superintendents and by the Joint City/County Commission on Children. After-school programs keep kids safe, help working families, and improve academic achievement.
