Description: Teens on the Front Line a nonprofit grass root organization, was founded in 2006 in Fort Bend County by a community leader. Tie James belief was that many youth lacked meaningful academic and career guidance as well as self worth and self esteem. Determined to make a difference James collaborated with Families Under Urban and Social Attack to undergo vagarious capacity building training for new start non profits. James with limited funds borrowed against her husband 401 K plan for the initial seed start up cost. James quietly founded Teens on the front line as a 501 c (3). Since inception TOTFL has developed strong partnerships with local businesses, community, media, school districts, churches and other youth serving organizations in the community. James currently acts as the Chief Executive Director and her staff of 12 continues to carry out the TOTFL vision and expanding the scope of program services. TOTFL currently operates Career Development, Mentoring, Abstinence, and HIV prevention at Boys and Girls Clubs of America Stafford unit summer and after school program. TOTFL has served over 250 youth and currently expanding its scope of service to include a tutoring program for children and youth.
