Oakdale Neighbors envisions a neighborhood of vitality and peace--a place where individuals and families work together for the common good. To achieve this vision Oakdale Neighbors discovers, develops, and connects skills and resources in the Oakdale neighborhood.

Oakdale Neighbors implements activities in two program areas: Family Asset Development which includes Life Skills, Vocation, and Financial Assets and Community Building which includes Block Organizing and Action, Business Corridor Development, and Environmental Care and Sustainability.
History:
Oakdale Neighbors is a Christian community development organization promoting the vitality of the Oakdale neighborhood in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The organization is a nonprofit corporation with federal 501(c)3 tax-exempt status. It is governed by an eight-member board of directors and has been active in the neighborhood for more than 10 years. The organization values relationships with several churches, foundations, and other organizations.
