Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital is a 25-bed acute care hospital located in Reed City, MI, that has adopted the Planetree™ approach to caregiving. A model of patient-centered care in a healing environment, staff is committed to improving medical care from the patient’s perspective, empowering patients and families through education, information and encouraging healing partnerships with caregivers. Attached to our hospital is a 10-star-rated Eden Alternative™ skilled nursing facility is an innovative approach to the long-term care that seeks to transform institutions into vibrant living and working environments.
History:
Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital has been part of the Spectrum Health system since 1998. Local access to quality care gives the people of Osceola, Lake and Mecosta counties a link to the resources of Spectrum Health, one of the nation's top integrated delivery systems—ranked 13th in 2004. We've continually improved the financial health of the Reed City Hospital and have recently completed an upgrade of our infrastructure as part of Spectrum Health's commitment to a $2.5 million renovation. It's the first step in preparation for additional improvements, including patient care areas. Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital has undergone many changes to dramatically improve the long-term viability of our hospital, the quality of care we provide, and the breadth of our services.
