It is the mission of the Arthritis Foundation, Michigan Chapter, to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.
Description:
The Foundation distributes charitable donations to fund research at Michigan universities, create and sustain statewide sponsored exercise and quality-of-life programs and supplement tuition costs of our weekl-long residential summer camp, "Camp Dakota," designed for Michigan children with arthritis and related diseases.
History:
The Arthritis Foundation was founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1948 by a group of physicians working at the University of Michigan.
