Our mission is to provide housing assistance and affordable housing opportunities to lower-income families, the disabled and senior citizens in a manner that is fiscally sound and in ways that support families, neighborhoods and economic self sufficiency.
Description:
We currently serve more than 3,900 West Michigan families through a diverse portfolio of housing programs.
History:
The Grand Rapids Housing Commission was established by the Grand Rapids City Commission in 1966. Funded primarily through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Housing Commission is independently administered and governed by a five member board appointed by the City Commission.
