Description:
Citizens for Better Care provides information and advocacy to residents of nursing homes through the ombudsman program. Long term care ombudsmen help nursing home residents resolve individual concerns about care and services as well as work to improve the overall quality of care.
History:
Citizens for Better Care is a non-profit organization founded in 1969 by a group of volunteers in Detroit Michigan. It now has offices in the cities of Detroit, Saginaw, Lansing, Traverse City and Grand Rapids all dedicated to serving long term care consumers.
