Fundamental computer skills are a necessity in today's job market. Our computer lab, a classroom with nine computers, provides clients of the Women's Resource Center with a practical, hands-on environment for computer learning, practice and internet job searching. The Computer Teacher would provide half-day classes in fundamental computer skills, basic Word, and basic Excel concepts. Course outlines are provided. Each class is taught once a month. The Computer Teacher position requires basic knowledge of computer operation, Word & Excel, basic internet skills, and the ability to teach people from different backgrounds and varying levels of computer skills. It is essential that the teacher be accepting and patient as clients go through the process of change, with a genuine desire to help them grow in confidence and self-esteem.
