RSVP Of Kenosha County
[ View Opportunities ]
| Last updated on March 19, 2008 |
The mission of RSVP, the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is to provide a variety of meaningful opportunities for individuals aged 55 or older to participate more completely in the life of their community through significant volunteer service.
Description:
In midlife and beyond, we have the opportunity to explore interests and parts of ourselves that were set aside while raising a family and/or building a career. What are your unexplored passions? Have you always wanted to learn more about art, gardening or the natural environment? Are you a secretary who secretly wanted to be a teacher or an engineer with a growing interest in psychology and helping others?Community service is an excellent way to continue the process of self-discovery and growth after full-time employment. It provides you with an opportunity to express yourself without the stresses of paid employment. By exposing you to new people and situations, community service invites you to tap into new talents and abilities you may not have known existed.
