Here is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others by sharing your talents and interests. The Kenosha Achievement Center's mission "is to enable persons with disabilities to achieve a way of life that includes work and community integration." RSVP volunteers can help! Volunteers give hour long presentations and/or workshops to a small (8-10) group of adult clients. These clients are a warm and welcoming group that is eager to learn new things.
Past presentations have included a talk about travels to Africa and a history of basket making. Workshops have included rubber stamping and making greeting cards.
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to share their talents and special interests with others. You could talk about your hobby, a special collection, or your travels. Times are available any weekday from 9 a.m. till noon or from 1 till 3 p.m. You can do just one presentation or workshop, or do as many as you'd like.
RSVP Volunteers must be 55 or older. There is no training necessary for this opportunity; the only requirement is a willingness to share.
