To help youth develop into productive and responsible adults, through daily neighborhood based services and facilities. The Club is committed as a priority to serving at-risk youth and their families as appropriate.
Description:
The Club's core program offers youth development activities to boys and girls between 6-18, by professional goal oriented staff that foster development of skills, talents and the constructive use of leisure time. The overall environment encourages and rewards youth to take on responsibility, be accountable and to help others. As a result, youth have the opportunity to develop positive and appropriate behaviors, values and attitudes.
History:
On June 9, 1939, several prominent men of vision signed the charter creating the Boys Club of Lancaster, PA. In 1975, the services expanded to include girls services. The Club prioritizes services to at-risk youth and families. We have expanded to meet the needs of youth county-wide by offering a broad variety of skills enhancing programs and services. Our membership and services combined exceeds well over 12,000 youth and families.
