Our mission is to promote optimal behavioral health by providing treatment and an array of services that improve an individual's quality of life. We believe every client is unique and treatment is developed around their individual needs.

Description:
We serve over 23,000 adults, families and children annually in Baltimore City. We take a team approach and work collaboratively with the individual or family and our treatment team. Our services include:

  • Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation

  • Chesapeake Connections
  • Housing and Employment
  • In-School Therapy
  • Mediation and Education Services
  • Mobile Treatment
  • Outpatient Mental Health Clinic
  • Partners in Recovery: Substance Abuse Treatment; Substance Abuse Screening at DSS Offices; Assessment of Mothers with Drug-Exposed Newborns In-Hospital

  • History:
    The North Baltimore Center has provided quality comprehensive community behavioral health care since 1969. We were founded by a diverse group of city, educational and religious leaders who wanted to provide mental health services in Baltimore City. We moved to our current location in 1992 and have added to our services in response to community needs.
