In a world of poverty and isolation, we want to bring the reality of God's love and healing power to restore lives and families to the neighborhood around us. We do this by affirming the responsibility of God's people to live balanced lives which honor God, serve those around us, and have an authentic love for humanity.

Description:
We are an older church in an older, established neighborhood. Over the past few years, the church has gone through some painful transitions. The membership is a group of caring and hopeful people who have chosen to reject the temptation to leave their aging area and have committed to becoming a source of hope for the neighborhood as well as a resource to the thousands who live nearby. Our vision is to become a place where families can have fun, grow, and become stronger. Our long term goals are to build a gym, offer classes in parenting and finances, to sponsor affordable daycare, provide quality senior care and activities for families with dependent adults, and to provide children's programs such as after-school homework help, mentoring, and outreach to foster care and group homes.
