We also offer education for children with the focus ages - Birth-8 years old. The activities that we concentrate on with the children are: Pre-Literacy and Literacy Skills,School Readiness and Achievement.
We also offer additional education for parents in the form of Parenting Skills Education with a focus on Child Brain Development, parents as Advocates for themselves and their children, parents as their child's first and best teacher.

History:
Even Start Family Literacy Partnership was founded in 1996 to serve the literacy and English language needs of economically and educationally impoverished families living in the Allied Drive. In recent years, it has expanded to serve families across Verona and Madison. We currently serve 36 adults and 63 children, ages 4 months to 13 years old. The families have demonstrated a strong commitment to improve the educational and employment prospects of themselves and their children by working with us. The program was founded on the belief that children's language and learning are greatly improved by their parent's involvement as first educators. Based on this belief the program strives to make the parents excellent first teachers through instruction, modeling, coaching, and mentoring.
