The Erie County Home pledges to provide skilled nursing care to residents of Erie County who need it, regardless of race, religion, or income.
Description:
The Erie County Home is a 550-bed skilled nursing facility. We offer skilled nursing care to residents of Erie County, 16 years of age or older, no matter what the diagnosis. This care is provided in a home-like setting; a lot of our residents will call this place home for many years. Residents encompass all ages and diagnosis; therefore, their interests are very diverse. We depend on volunteers to provide and assist with the various activities that might appeal to them. Some examples are field trips; special interest groups such as scouting or crafts; bingo games; beauty karte; cooking club; entertainment; religious fellowships; young people's group. We are the only SNF in the country with a registered adult handicapped Scout Troop - Troop 82. The Erie County Home is a quarter-mile long, with residents on 2 floors. In addition to a full array of nursing care, therapies, and recreational activities, the Home also boasts 2 stores, a beauty shop and barber, Dental Clinic, Podiatry services, Eye Care, banking services, and a branch of the Erie County Library.
