The mission of Interface Children Family Services is to strengthen children, families, and communities to be safe, healthy, and thriving.
Description:
Interface currently employs approximately 185 individuals, 125 contractors, and receives ongoing assistance from a pool of several hundred volunteers. The agency is culturally competent in its employment, training, community planning, and service delivery systems and is responsive to the diversity of its community members. Interface is a professionally managed organization with staff and volunteers providing mental health services, domestic violence services, child abuse prevention services and youth development services. The agency also provides youth mentoring, information and referrals, as well as community education and outreach. Through the integration of volunteers and community resources, Interface is dedicated to improving the lives of children, families and communities.
History:
Interface began in the spirit of volunteerism, by volunteers in 1973 providing services to families. The agency flourished to be one of the most comprehensive, non-profit human service agencies in Ventura County. Since 1973, local and county governments have come to rely on the professional, cost-effective services of Interface to help comply with mandated programs and fulfill the unmet needs of our Ventura County community. We are committed to partnerships that build a better Ventura County.
