Arlington Kids' Kloset strives for "Enhanced learning through nurtured self-esteem." Meeting the clothing needs of qualified, needy students in a friendly, positive atmosphere.
Description:
Arlington Kids' Kloset provides new and quality used clothing, free of charge, to children in need who attend public school in Arlington, Lakewood and Darrington School Districts, their preschool age siblings, and any student from those districts who is enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP). Children who qualify for government-assisted free or reduced price school meals or who are otherwise income eligible and directly referred, may receive clothing twice yearly free of charge from Kids' Kloset. Children with emergency needs such as fire, family crisis, sudden relocation, etc. may also be referred. Children and their families "shop" for clothing in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
History:
Arlington Kids' Kloset is a 501(c)(3) organization. We opened our doors in May, 2005. We are housed in the Old Arlington High School (now Highland Christian School) at 135 So. French, Arlington, WA 98223. Kids' Kloset was established to serve the large population of children in the local area that qualify for free and reduced price lunch.
