The mission of the Ateaze Senior Center is to develop and administer programs and activities that support Baltimore County citizens in their efforts to remain healthy, active and independent members of the community and to provide, coordinate and advocate for services which insure the highest quality of life for both active and health-impaired seniors, their families and caregivers.

Description:
The Ateaze Senior Center (located in Dundalk) is one of nineteen senior centers in Baltimore County. The facility is a vibrant center of community activities providing educational, health-screenings, social and recreational services for members sixty years of age and older. A state-of-the-art fitness center operates twenty hours per week. Health & fitness staff from Towson University, Department of Kinesiology, manage the fitness center.

History:
The Ateaze Senior Center is located in the urban community of Dundalk, which is situated in southeast Baltimore County. The senior center has thrived as a resource for senior citizens, their families, caregivers and the community at-large since 1967. The Ateaze Senior Center is a thriving component of the community. Other Baltimore County Agencies, a vast number of community businesses, and a broad range of partnerships support the senior center. The members of the center credit their vitality to the opportunity made available at their community senior center.
