Seminole Community Volunteer Program, Inc. (SCVP) is dedicated to improving the quality of life in Seminole County. Through innovative partnerships and collaborations, we will provide skilled volunteers who will positively impact Education, Public Safety, Health, Human Needs and the Environment and provide high quality experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers.

Description:
Seminole Community Volunteer Program (SCVP)has collaborative partnership agreements with over 70 non-profit organizations, public agencies or departments in Seminole County.

Our goals are to connect people with the opportunity to serve, inspire, engage and support volunteers who make a difference in our community, enable senior citizens to remain active and involved, ensure a more disaster aware, ready and resistant community and engage citizens in volunteer service.

Volunteer opportunities include: providing non-medical assistance to hospitals and nursing homes, sorting food and other donated items at food banks, tutoring and mentoring students in schools and in after school programs, teaching English to non English speaking students and adults, helping to renovate or build homes, assisting low income individuals complete paperwork for legal assistance, serving meals to shut ins or at congregate sites, delivering Meals on Wheels, providing fingerprinting services at local law enforcement agencies to individuals for job-related or volunteer activities, serving as instructors for senior center classes, providing library assistance, serving as docents at museums and the zoo, providing tax or insurance counseling, serving as master gardeners, providing hospice and respite care and providing clerical support to non-profit and public agencies.

SCVP is the lead agency for recruiting, providing and managing volunteers and donated goods during emergencies and disasters in Seminole County.

Directions:
 I - 4 East - Exit at Lake Mary Boulevard. Turn right and follow Lake Mary Boulevard to College Drive (approximately 3 ½ miles) on right (Entrance to Seminole Community College). Follow road (keeping left) to stop sign and turn right onto Weldon Boulevard. Turn left into the second parking entrance and out builing is a grey portable building with burgundy trim and doors. Park in Parking Lot A directly in front of the building. From 17-92 North to Sanford - Left at light onto County Home Road (at fire station and just before SPCA and Flea World). Bear left at fork by fire station. Follow road to stop sign and turn left. SCVP building is located on the left, behind the construction trades building. Grey portable building with burgundy trim and doors. Park in Parking Lot A directly in front of the building.
