History:
The agency was started 2002 when four doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals came together to make an attempt to fill a need. Forty-five million Americans have no health insurance. Eight out of ten work and struggle with low wages and no provided coverage. Because they work, they may be eliminated from most benefits of State and government. Z.I. A.D. Healthcare for the underserved started providing primary healthcare to those in these categories and situations with three private doctor clinics willing to give back to their community by providing some sliding scale care for those less fortunate. As of December 2005, Z.I.A.D. now has 35 clinics in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties particpating in this program and has delivered over 10,000 cases of sliding scale health care. Z.I.A.D. plans to expand throughout the state and then nationally. We have sliding scale clinics and in some cases mobile service in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb and Gennessee counties
