Head Volunteer Needed to help recruit volunteers for programs, fundraising events, activities and more

Our agency seeks a Head Volunteer to assist with inquiries and provide guidance/support to new volunteers. We offer a friendly, dynamic environment where your work will make a difference in young children’s lives. Please contact us by email if you are interested in donating some of your time and expertise. 14% of Kent county families live below poverty level compared to 8.7% in the State of Maryland. 33% of families with female householder, no husband present, live in poverty. 21% of population 25 or older have no high school diploma. In home services, job readiness, healthy cooking are just some of the ways we empower our families to succeed.

Qualifications:
Plan and implement the volunteer effort
Establish and serve as liaison to the volunteer advisory committee.
Integrate the volunteer program into the entire Shared Opportunity Service, Inc
Ensure that the volunteer program is in full compliance with SOS policy
Design and provide appropriate volunteer and staff training
Note: Familiarity with issues of young parents, infants and toddlers, issues of poverty, and linking with community resources desirable.
