We work together to end all hate violence and promote tolerance, diversity and respect between and among all people. We focus on ending bullying and other forms of violence in schools and among youth through a whole community approach to violence prevention.
Description:
The Marin Human Rights Roundtable on Hate Violence is a coalition of diverse community-based organizations, government entities, and individuals dedicated to the prevention and elimination of hate crime and hate violence in the County of Marin. The Roundtable's purpose is to build consensus that hate violence in all forms is unacceptable. We mobilize the community to end violence based on a person's race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation.
History:
The Roundtable was convened in 1996 by the Marin Community Foundation in response to increasing public concern about hate incidents in Marin.
