The mission of the American Sports Institute (ASI) is to play a significant role in reuniting body, mind, and spirit by changing the perception and position of sport.
Description:
The American Sports Institute is a research and development, training, and cultural center for the advocation and application of sport and physical education as means for positively affecting national and international issues. In particular, ASI uses the positive aspects of sport culture to address national and international concerns. Currently, ASI's main focus is on applying the positive aspects of sport culture to educational transformation and wellness.
History:
The American Sports Institute was founded in 1985 in southern Marin County. Since its inception, ASI has been involved in the advocacy, development, and implementation of programs related to educational transformation and wellness through sport.
