Planned Feralhood is dedicated to improving the lives of feral cats in West Marin county with our trap/neuter/return program and placing socialized feral kittens for adoption.
Description:
We trap and neuter feral cats and make sure they will be fed and safe when they are returned to their area. We will relocate the cats, following a strict protocol to ensure the safety of the cats, if needed. Feral kittens are fostered, socialized, given vet care, and placed for adoption.
History:
Planned Feralhood started in 2002 with a few volunteers. Since then, we have neutered approximately 250 cats and placed 280 kittens in successful adoptions. A few more volunteers have joined us, but we are still looking for more volunteers. In 2004, we received a grant for $10,000 from the Marin Community Foundation for being a successful local neighborhood organization. We have a good base of local financial support, but we are dire need of more funds.
