Pacific Diversified Services provides innovative employment and community based support to wonderful adults with developmental disabilities in Marin. We are seeking a volunteer with experience in fundraising / grant development or willingness to learn on the job. We need help finding appropriate foundations to apply to for grants. PDS can help you gain some great skills to use in the development field. Any of the typical support functions in fundraising, research, and grantwriting are needed as well and you can learn on the job if you are smart and can work independently. Our office is relaxed and friendly and our clients often visit and remind us all of the important and valuable work we are doing.

You will also gain access to a specialized search engine that you can use for other non-profits while you are a volunteer with us.

Our office is cramped but friendly and cheerful. We are located in the "French Quarter" office complex in downtown San Rafael. Sometimes our clients with disabilities are in the office too, and they are fun and make the day more interesting. You could also work from home or your own office.

Requirements: We do need self-starters but we will provide training. Our office is small so you must be able to maneuver around cramped spaces and organize your duties in a way that is unobtrusive to co-workers who are sharing the space. If you prefer to, you could work from home.
