Founded in 1983, AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts is a not-for-profit, community-based health organization whose mission is to stop the HIV/AIDS epidemic by preventing new infections and optimizing the health of those already infected. Through a cooperative and mutually supportive effort between over 70 staff and hundreds of volunteers, AIDS Action seeks to assist and constructively work with people of all cultures by providing services, education, advocacy and prevention.

Description:
Through a supportive effort between staff and hundreds AIDS Action volunteers we provide support services for people living with HIV and AIDS; educate the public and health officials; and advocate for fair and effective AIDS policy at the city, state and federal level.

Through our client service programs, we continue to optimize the health of individuals and families already affected by this disease. AAC provides case management, treatment adherence support, financial and legal counseling, and housing assistance.
AIDS Action is committed to preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS through innovative and science-based prevention and education programs. These programs specifically target youth and individuals living in high-risk communities.
AIDS Action Committee is a leader in advocating on the city, state and federal level for fair and effective HIV/AIDS policies and funding. Policy issues include: Ryan White CARE Act, Pharmacy Access Campaign, State funding for HIV/AIDS.
