Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit ecumenical organization dedicated to eliminating sub-standard housing in Franklin and Hampshire Counties.

Description:
We work with very low-income families to build homes, sell them to the families at cost with a no-interest, 20-year mortgage, and use the mortgage payments to increase our homebuilding capacity. The vast majority of our volunteers work on the construction site, but we also have many who serve on committees or do office work.

History:
Habitat for Humanity International was founded in 1969 by Millard Fuller in rural Georgia. It has grown via affiliates in many regions of the United States and the world. Pioneer Valley Habitat was founded in 1989 and has build over 20 units for families in the Valley.
