The Foster Grandparent Program is built upon the natural bond between the young and the old. It provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for adults in our communities. If you love to read or play board games with children or perhaps review their classwork under the supervision of the teacher, you can be a volunteer Foster Grandparent at a local elementary school, day care center, afterschool program, hospital etc. All volunteers receive a monthly stipend to cover the cost of volunteering. This stipend does not effect social security, SSI, Medicaid, housing or other government benefits.

60 years of age or over. Income eligible. Out of the regular work force. Willing to volunteer a minimum of 15 hrs a week at a local elementary school, nursery school, hospital or day care center. All volunteers will receive training before they are assigned to a site.
