The main mission of the MARC program is to successfully rehabilitate sick and injured marine animals with the intent of releasing these animals back to their natural habitat.
Description:

Located on the Biddeford campus of the University of New England, MARC is providing unique educational opportunities to students and community members.
History:
MARC opened in August of 2001 and after 7 months of set up and receiving all the necessary permits required, accepted its first seal in the spring of 2002. Since that time, numerous seals, sea turtles, porpoises have been have been rehabilitated and released.
