To serve those in need of food in the towns of Waldoboro and Bremen.
Description:
The Waldoboro Food Pantry is a small, voluntary agency. We are open the first and third Thursday of each month from 1-3pm. We provide food (mostly non perishable) to anyone in need from the towns of Bremen and Waldoboro. We also provide food only vouchers from the Waldoboro Hannaford, which can be redeemed for $10 worth of food only items.
History:
Since 1988, the food pantry has been located in space offered by the Waldoboro United Methodist Church. In the past, oversight and sponsorship was provided by the Ministerium, a group of area clergy. Area churches still support the pantry with food, volunteers and financial donations. Our current primary sponsor is the Waldoboro Lions Club. We do receive some donor option funds through Good Shepherd Food Bank in Auburn.
