Description:
The South Portland School Department's office of Volunteer Services and Business Partnerships seeks caring and committed individuals to volunteer their time, energy, and enthusiasm for the benefit of all students, kindergarten through high school, in the South Portland school system. We also are seeking businesses who would like to collaborate with the school department by providing Mentors, acting as Job Shadow program host sites, and sharing their expertise both in the classroom and at their workplace.

History:
The South Portland School Department has a long history of encouraging active parent and community participation in the classrooms, on various committees, and with special projects. Hundreds of volunteers donate thousands of hours annually in a multitude of ways.

 From the North: From 295 in South Portland, take exit 3, Westbrook St./Airport, and turn left onto Westbrook St. Go past the golf course and turn left onto Wescott Rd. The office of Volunteer Services and Business Partnerships is located in Memorial Middle School, 1/4 m. down Wescott on the right. From the South: From the Maine Turnpike, take exit 7 and follow the signs to Broadway. Take Broadway to Westbrook St. and turn right onto Westbrook St. Go past the golf course and turn left onto Wescott Rd.
