Volunteers of America Northern New England is a national, non-profit, spiritually based organization providing local human service programs and opportunities for individual and community involvement.
In Northern New England, our focus is providing affordable low-income housing for seniors and a variety of services for youth, adults and families.

History:
Founded in 1896, Volunteers of America serves more than 1.4 million people each year.

Ballington and Maud Booth, founders of Volunteers of America, came to America with a vision and a promise to "go wherever we are needed and do whatever comes to hand." The founder's vision remains alive in our national message, "There are No Limits to Caring." Today, more than 11,000 professional staff and 40,000 volunteers are at work in large and small communities throughout the country. We have 39 affiliates providing over 130 different programs and services. All of our programs are locally created, managed and delivered.
