Position title: Board Connections Position
Description: Literacy Volunteers of Waterville provides free tutoring services for adults who want to learn to read or improve their reading skills. Our United Way funded agency matches a trained, certified tutor with a student to provide individualized lessons that assist the learner in reaching his or her literacy goals.

Board members should have an interest in literacy, the ability to attend board meetings at least once a month and commit to a two-year term. Board members with all interests or skills are needed immediately including those with backgrounds in bookkeeping, fund raising, public relations and advertising.
