Under One Roof, Inc.™, an independent, tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization located in East Norwalk, is searching for an experienced CPA interested in joining our Board of Directors to serve on the Finance Committee and to take on the position of Treasurer of the Board. Candidate should be willing and able to devote a few hours quarterly to review financial statements prepared by bookkeeper. Candidate will also work with bookkeeper to review materials that are prepared in preparation for financial audit by outside auditors. Candidate will also serve on the organizations finance and audit review committee. Accounting/CPA essential.

Under One Roof, Inc.™ operates The Marvin, a quality affordable congregate senior housing facility and The Marvin Children’s Center, an accredited school readiness child day care program for 3 & 4 years. Both programs integrate a strong intergenerational component benefiting both the seniors and the children. The success of The Marvin proves that dreams, visions and goals can become reality – with lots of hard work, commitment and steadfast drive. The Board of Directors and Staff of Under One Roof, Inc.™ have proclaimed a strong commitment to “Quality” in all we do and have unanimously adopted and supported a national “Quality First” initiative. At this time, we are seeking a few people who would be interested in exploring the possibility of joining our Board of Directors to work with us as we move forward for the future. We are specifically seeking people with experience in some of the following areas: Accounting; Finance; Planning; Marketing; Human Resources - though we would also welcome someone with general leadership potential and a commitment to the Norwalk community. Board meetings are held late afternoon, quarterly. Board members are expected to serve on at least one committee. Ideally, prospective board members will bring some prior experience serving on a not-for-profit board and will be committed to helping Under One Roof, Inc.™ continue to enhance its already proven success. Visionary leaders and thinkers are encouraged to explore this opportunity.

Accounting and Financial background essential. Ideal candidate will be a CPA. Familiarity with not-for-profits helpful.
