Suppose you could spend one day a year helping those who help you or your neighbors - at a school, youth center, public park, or food pantry. Now suppose you could enlist your office colleagues to go with you. Where would you go?

For more than ten years, companies from throughout Greater Boston have rolled up their sleeves for Boston Cares' Corporate Volunteer Day, taking place this year on Saturday, May 19. Picture this: teams from dozens of area companies gather at locations across Boston and surrounding communities on a Saturday morning, armed with coffee, pluck, and a desire to help others. They will spend the next five hours painting shelters, fixing-up community centers, landscaping parks, preparing food for the homeless, freshening up schools, and much more. When the job is done, they join together for the Samuel Adams Celebration of Service.

More than 100 non-profit agencies have benefited from the miraculous work performed over the past 10 years, with many relying on Corporate Volunteer Day for the help they need each Spring.

Whether a group of five or an army of 100, your team will enjoy the following benefits:

• A hands-on, teambuilding service project at a local community agency; Boston Cares coordinates all advance and event day logistics
• Event t-shirts for all team participants
• Community visibility on Boston Cares website, newsletter, event program and post-event print ad
• Springboard to year-round volunteering through additional company service projects and complimentary membership in Boston Cares for participating employees
