For almost 100 years, the Anti-Defamation League has been fighting hate. Today, Anti-Defamation League is the nation's premier human relations and civil rights agency combating racism, anti-Semistism and all forms of bigotry. Anti-Defeamtion League monitors and tracks the efforts of hate-mongering extremists and their groups, as well as domestic and international terriost activities and events. We publish our findings and distribute them globally to teachers, elected officers, law enforment, media community leaders and our supporters. Anti-Defamtion League also educates abouts about these ideas. From pre-schoolers to FBI agents, from students on college campuses to overseas educators, ADL works hard to teach people to stand up to bigotry. We help break down stereo-types, foster respect for diversity and comback bias before it becomes a source for hatred and violence. History:
In 1913,anguished by the anti-Semistism of his time, Sigmund Livingston founded ADL in a small Chicago office. More than eight decades later, ADL has grown bryond all expectations... beyond all aspirations... into 30 Regional and Statellite Offices... into a leading force in human relations... into the nation's foremost champion in the struggle against anti-Semitism
