Body Electric's Adventure Club needs women athletes willing to volunteer to instruct other women and girls in sports and physical activities through our Adventure Club clinics. The sport or activity can be anything that can be safely and inexpensively taught to women and girls (it is ok to suggest recommended age limitations for girls to avoid risk of injury) and that have the potential to be sustainable, ongoing activities. We also need volunteers to join our Adventure Club Committee, helping Body Electric to organize, promote, and conduct clinics throughout the year. Instructors must have demonstrated training and skills in the sport or activity they would like to teach. Body Electric requires the clinics to be taught by women. Instructors and trainers must be willing to teach women and girls of all skill levels and must provide an encouraging and confidence-building environment for the participants. Most clinics are offered as a one-time event with a duration of 2-3 hours. Volunteers who wish to join Body Electric's Adventure Club Committee must meet once a month (generally at 6 PM in the evening) and must assist with planning, organizing and promotion of scheduled Adventure Club clinics. This opportunity is sponsored by: Body Electric - Santa Barbara

As an all volunteer organization, we do not have an office location. Potential volunteers to Body Electric-SB are invited to meet us at an Adventure Club event; at our monthly Board meetings, currently being held at the Accounting Office of MacFarlane, Faletti and Co. on Micheltorena Street in Santa Barbara; or on location at the offices of our volunteer Board members. |
