 Join the Museum's volunteer crew as we explore the world of paleontology and the recent African dinosaur discoveries from Project Exploration. GIANTS, African Dinosaurs runs from May 3 through November 1, and includes fully articulated skeletons of several dinosaur species, hands-on replica bones, and a creekside field tent where visitors can "dig" for dinosaur bones! Two-hour shifts available seven days per week. Volunteer jobs include exhibit interpreter in Luria Hall, and field tent assistant. GIANTS trainings provided, and strongly encouraged: Sunday, May 4, 1-3 p.m. in Farrand Hall. Monday, May 5, 10-12 in Farrand Hall. RSVP required for trainings. From the North: Take U.S. Hwy 101 south to the Mission Street exit. Turn left (towards the hills) at the offramp stop light.
From the South: Take U.S. Hwy 101 north to the Mission Street exit. Turn right (towards the hills) at the offramp stop light.
Proceed on Mission to Santa Barbara Street. Turn left on Santa Barbara Street, proceed two blocks to the first stop sign at Los Olivos. Turn right on Los Olivos, stay to the left at the "Y"--you will cross a stone bridge. Turn left at the second street after the bridge; this is Las Encinas. Turn left at the stop sign (Puesta del Sol Road)and proceed to the first parking lot driveway and turn right.
