 Outdoors recreation and wilderness enthusiasts are invited to help introduce young people ages 6-12 at the Boys & Girls Club to the wonders of the outdoors. Participate with the kids in activities and/or weekly field trips to test their outdoors skills including: canoeing, hiking, animal/plant identification, wilderness survival, orienteering and much more. AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 16 and older. COMMITMENT: flexible. DAY OF WEEK: flexible, one or more days a week. DAY OF WEEK: flexible, Monday through Friday. TIME OF DAY: flexible, 3:30 - 8:30 p.m. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Orientation and application/background check required. Enthusiasm for outdoors activities strongly recommended.
