We are in need of volunteers to staff a weekend adoption event on September 13 and 14 at PetSmart South. Volunteers will attend to the cats at this event, answer questions, and provide handouts to potential adopters. It's rewarding to know that you have helped animals to find homes.

Tuesday , September 16, 2008:

The Sexual Assault Program of Victim Services trains volunteers to offer support to survivors of sexual assault in Dodge, Olmsted and Fillmore counties. This required 40-hour course teaches prospective volunteers the skills necessary to become crisis line advocates. Upcoming training sessions are Tuesday evenings September 16-November 4 and two Saturday sessions on October 11 and 25. Interested applicants must apply by September 8, 2008.

Hands-On-History is our largest educational event of the year. One thousand students per day will visit the History Center for hands-on learning experiences from over 40 demonstrators. Volunteers will be stationed on the grounds to help students and teachers find their way, answer questions and handle emergencies. One training session (1 hour) required.
