Darfur Community Organization, Inc. was created to provide a funding vehicle with the objective of supporting Sudanese (especially Darfur) people to become successfully mixed into American Culture. The organization is dedicated to assist the Sudanese in their struggle to gain employment, education, home ownership and integration into American life.

Description:
While Darfur Community Organization, Inc. does not operate a school, the organization will provide Sudanese with English teachers and instruction. Also, while the organization does not specifically provide housing, it will provide workshops to assist Sudanese in acquiring home ownership and the necessary financing, insurance and public assistance. The organization will provide translations for job applications and verbal interviews and will direct Sudanese to potential employers seeking applicants with job skills each Sudanese may have.
The organization will offer seminars to promote the transition from Sudanese culture into American culture, and promote understanding of the Sudanese community. While the organization is not directly involved in economic development, a mission of the organization is to raise both money and awareness in the United States of the plight of the Sudanese, and assist in supporting the Sudanese people in the rebuilding of their economy.
