Keep Omaha Beautiful, Inc. is an environmental organization that does what its name implies. Our mission statement declares that KOB is a non-profit organization dedicated to litter reduction, beautification and education on recycling and solid waste issues. There are four areas that we concentrate on: 1) We work with and promote the participation of neighborhood groups with KOB's programs; 2) We work and cooperate with the City of Omaha's solid waste programs; 3) We educate the business community and the citizens of Omaha of the advantages of litter reduction, recycling and solid waste management. Each year we work with over 6,000 volunteers; 4) We participate in the programs of the national Keep America Beautiful organization. Some of the programs KOB is involved in are: 1) City-wide Spring Cleanup/Cleanup Omaha; 2) Ecology Day Camp for Kids; 3) Teacher Education Workshops; 4) Youth Fall Cleanup. We believe that our city is a wonderful place to live, filled with great people dedicated to keeping Omaha litter-free, beautiful and environmentally safe. Won't you help Keep Omaha Beautiful?
