At EF Foundation our goal is to provide international student exchange programs and encourage cultural awareness and mutual respect between nations. We believe that young people should be given the opportunity to build friendships without frontiers, and that the lessons that they learn will be passed on to future generations.
Description:
EF Foundation for Foreign Study is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering cultural understanding through foreign exchange. We believe that young people should be given the opportunity to build friendships without frontiers. When participants return to their homelands and make use of their newly acquired skills, education, and language abilities, we know we have done our job successfully! The cultural awareness gained by our host families, EF Foundation representatives, and community members break down borders and promote better communication, awareness, and understanding in our world.
History:
A proud part of the world's largest private educational institution, EF Education, EF Foundation employs staff in a network of offices around the world. Since 1979, we have provided study abroad experiences for over 90,000 enthusiastic students from over 40 countries around the world. Each year we help nearly 4,000 teenage students spend a semester or a year in the host country of their choice.
